This site (wp.kristoffbertram.be) sells and manages licenses for WordPress plugins published by Kristoff Bertram, Belgium (“we”). We collect as little personal data as we can get away with.
What we collect and why
- Purchase data — when you buy a license we store your email address, your license key, its expiry, and Stripe reference IDs. Legal basis: performance of a contract. Kept for as long as the license (plus statutory bookkeeping periods).
- Payment data — payments are processed entirely by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment processing.
- License activations — when a plugin activates a license we store the site URL it was activated on, to enforce the activation limit. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Technical logs — the web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention, rotated after a short period. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
What we don't do
- No analytics or tracking cookies. The only cookie this site may set is a session cookie for checkout security (CSRF).
- No marketing emails. You get transactional email only: your license key, and replies to your own messages.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties beyond the processors named here (Stripe; our hosting provider, DreamHost).
The plugins themselves
Our WordPress plugins run on your server. They send this site only what license management requires: your license key, your site URL, and the plugin version (for update checks). Feed content fetched by the plugins (e.g. LinkedIn posts) goes directly from the third-party platform to your server and never passes through us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data, and you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be). For any request, email plugins@kristoffbertram.be. Note that deleting purchase data before the license expires also voids the license.
